Piteå map

The Piteå project is favourably located 40km by road from the operating port of Piteå, which has a 12.6m depth approach and advanced infrastructure.

Two historical diamond drill holes testing for base metals, intersected graphite bearing biotite gneiss within a 4km x 1km geophysical anomaly. The Swedish Geological Survey ("SGU") undertook limited sampling of the graphitic zones, assaying 13 samples and conducting microscopy of five polished thin sections to characterise flake sizes. These results identified coarse flake graphite, with 70-90% of flakes observed to be larger than 0.3mm (equivalent of +50 mesh, also referred to as extra-large or jumbo flake).

The addition of the Piteå project to Talga's graphite portfolio allows for the potential development of multiple graphite projects with different flake sizes and characteristics to supply multiple segments of the graphite market.
